Love this guide and these tips! We are spending this Christmas in Japan and planning on using the 1-2 planned meal/site/museum/destination per day method--love google maps for this. Can’t wait to read your Japan guide/tips next month
Oh my gosh I’m so excited to hear that!! Christmas is Japan is wonderful, but heads up, we found a ton of things to be closed around new years if you’re staying that long! I’ve got some notes on it in the guide / the MOST extensive google map!!!
I was wondering if that might be the case based on looking at museum tickets and restaurant reservations, helpful to have it confirmed! We are heading to Niseko to ski leading up to new years so 🤞🏻 to avoid closures before that in Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto
ABSOLUTELY. One of the things that was the most striking to both of us walking around was how child friendly everything was. Even beyond the regular tourist areas, there were so many families and children. It was extremely walkable, great sidewalks (never a thing that occurred to me until I practically went off-roading with my stroller in Los Angeles) and kids seem so much more a part of day to day life that I don't feel like I normally see in the US!

This was great! Excited to check out the Scandinavian cookbook as I’m Swedish
yayyy! would love to hear what you think -- visiting Denmark and Sweden are top of my list for 2024 and the pastry culture is a huge reason why haha.
Love this & will definitely save for future trip planning!! Do you feel like this is a place you would go back with a baby or toddler?
