As someone always looking for the next great read, I am astounded at your ability to divide your favorites into categories rather than the standard romance, thriller, fiction, etc genres. The amount of time and effort is both appreciated and coveted. You are clearly much more intelligent than me. Thank you for these recommendations.
I will say that extremely granular, overly specific classification is a niche hobby haha (see: my annual gift guide series, as well as these book rec round ups!) I just find it so much more helpful than basic categories, because I find it really helps you know what you're in for. ain't nobody got time for a book that you don't want to finish haha.
I’ve been looking forward to your book roundup! The God of the Woods and Real Americans are in my top 7 of the year! I can’t stop thinking about the characters. And Sharks in the Time of Saviors is on my all-time fav list. As a mom, the mother-child relationships in all three of these books stirred up so many big feelings.
I love when I find someone that seems to have the exact same taste in books as me! 4 of your top books are my favorites as well so I cannot wait to dig into the others you recommended. Thank you!
Thanks for this, I have so many new books to put on my list to read this year! Also I love that you have HP fanfic/dramione on your list. Would love your favorite dramione recs.
I just finished Détraquée by Hystaracal and thought it was lovely; and can highly recommend Remain Nameless (HeyJude19), Measure of a Man (Inadaze22) and Love in a Time of the Zombie Apoocalypse (Rizzlewrites). And, if you haven't already: Debt of Time (ShayaLonnie) is an ~experience~.
